Mac’s Quality Foods are committed to managing and maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our business. We want to ensure our customers that Mac’s Quality Foods is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes.

What personal data do we collect?

Personal information is only collected if you make an order on our site for our products, when registering a new account or registering for our newsletter. We will use the information you supply without separate consent only to complete and process your order.

When you register for the newsletter, with your consent your name and e-mail address will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, which can be done at any time.

We reserve the right to store customer print data electronically and locally for one year. After that, we will move such data from local electronic storage to cloud storage; the print data may then be stored in cloud storage for a further 5 years. The print data does not contain customer data or other personal data except for an order number, company name and project name. As it is possible to identify the customer from the order number we therefore treat the storage of such print data in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998. We store this print data for HMRC record keeping purposes, in order to be able to demonstrate to the HMRC that we have correctly identified the applicable tax / VAT rate for the products we have provided to customers.

What happens if I disable cookies?

Google Analytics

We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about products, services and articles you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. Tawk.to
We use a third-party provider for our online chat and support function. Interactions include voluntary information supplied by the user for the purpose of assistance with an order. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about products, services and articles you’ve asked us to tell you about and to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information. In addition, information relating to the operating system, browser, inbound and outbound links, geographical origin, as well as the resolution and the type of equipment used, is evaluated for statistical purposes. Data Security
We secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution by unauthorised persons through technical and organisational measures. A customer account may only be accessed by entering the personal password of the customer. You should always keep your access information confidential, and close the browser window once communication with us has ended, especially if you are using a shared computer.
